2012 Grants Awarded

On November 1, 2012, FSACF awarded grants to the following non-profit organizations:

Megan Felt is shown accepting a 2012 FSACF grant for the Lowell Milken Center. The grant will be used to fund an audio accompaniment to the existing African American exhibit. The grant is presented by Shirley Palmer (left) and Carol MacArthur, FSACF Board members.

Joe Chenoweth, a Mission Developer for Young Life, is shown accepting a 2012 FSACF grant for that national organization. The grant will be used to help bring a Young Life chapter to Fort Scott. The grant is presented by Shirley Palmer (left) and Carol MacArthur, FSACF Board members.




1. Fort Scott Middle School Project ART - This grant will help cover transportation costs for going to KC productions

2. Care to Share - This grant will pay for Gas Vouchers for $25 each to supply 40 vouchers

3. Lowell Milken Center (website) - This grant will pay for Audio for African/American display

4. Fort Scott Church of the Nazarene - This grant will pay for 1 42” flat screen TV for downtown non-profit Coffee House

5. First United Methodist Church - This grant will pay for condiments and basic ingredients for weekly free meals

6. Bourbon County Interagency Coalition - This grant will pay for Rent/Utilities assistance vouchers

7. Young Life - This grant will pay to help establish Young Life in Fort Scott

8. Ellis Foundation – This grant will pay for a scholarship for a student from Bourbon County

9. Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Bourbon County - This grant will pay to fund matches
