During the Chamber Coffee on May 12, 2011, Treva Williams and Craig Campbell, co-chairs of the Good Neighbor Action Team, accept a “Surprise” grant from Carol MacArthur, chairperson of the FSACF grant-making committee. The grant will be used by the Good Neighbor Action Team to further its goal of helping qualified local residents improve their homes.



Fort Scott Area Community Foundation presented a Community Thanksgiving Dinner Surprise Grant to Marjorie Schwalm at a November, 2009 Chamber Coffee. The contribution included both a check and a frozen turkey to the Community Thanksgiving dinner. This dinner is organized by Marjorie Schwalm and her family each year for anyone in the Fort Scott area who would like to come and enjoy the meal. Submitted photo.



FSACF has granted $20,775.49 to non-profits in the area since 2007

In December, 2010, FSACF Board members show the total amount FSACF has granted to non-profits in the area since 2007. To this date, FSACF has granted $20,775.49 to worthy charitable organizations in Fort Scott and the surrounding area.



The Fort Scott Community Gala Committee named the Fort Scott Area Community Foundation as the recipient of the 2010 gala proceeds. In 2008, the Fort Scott Area Community Foundation assisted the Fort Scott Hurricanes swim team acquire new diving blocks, constructed by Fort Scott’s own Twister Trailers.
